Peugeot 407 engine issues

I own a 2009 Peugeot 407 with a gasoline engine. The check engine light is on, engine power is reduced, engine response is poor, and fuel consumption is high. Mileage is 267953 km. I suspect a faulty manifold pressure sensor and a large vacuum leakage. Any ideas?

Hey! I have a Peugeot 407 too, though I'm not sure about the year. Sounds like what happened to me a while back. Was the car also idling kinda rough? It could very well be the manifold sensor, like you're thinking. Did you try checking the sensor connections for any damage?

Thank you for your reply. I did not check the sensor connections yet. Did you experience similar symptoms with your 407?

Yep, almost exactly the same! Rough idling, loss of power, the whole shebang. It turned out to be the manifold pressure sensor, and a mechanic found a vacuum leak that was making it worse. Honestly, it's probably best to get it checked by a professional to be sure, they can pinpoint the leak properly.

I appreciate the confirmation. I will take your advice and consult a workshop. The repair cost was 235€. Thank you.
