Peugeot 407 Engine Starting Problem

I'm experiencing issues with my 2009 Peugeot 407 diesel. Mileage is at 102788 km. The engine refuses to start, stalls at idle, and the check engine light is illuminated. It's also running rough, fuel consumption seems higher, and there's an error stored in the memory. Suspect it's the fuel pump. Has anyone encountered similar issues? I've checked the pump, and the cable and plug connection seem to be defective. Any advice?

I had a similar problem with my 407. Same symptoms. Did you check the fuel injector?

Yes, I had a connection issue that presented just like that. I suggest you take it to a workshop to get it checked out. Could save you a lot of time and headaches.

Thanks for confirming. I took your advice and had it checked. Turns out it was the fuel pump cable connection. The repair cost was 95€. Appreciate the help!
