Peugeot 407 Error Code

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2005 Peugeot 407 (gasoline engine). I've got 190101 km on the clock. The car keeps throwing up an error code on the infotainment system and the speedometer display. I tried to reset the codes with a basic OBD-II scanner, but the engine light comes back on after a short drive. Any ideas?

I had a similar issue with my 407. Does the error code relate to any specific system, like ABS or the fuel injection?

In my case, the error was due to incorrect coding of one of the control modules. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop with diagnostic equipment that can properly read the Peugeot-specific codes. They should be able to pinpoint the exact cause.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a mechanic, and you were right. It was a coding issue. They recoded the ECU and cleared the fault. Cost me 360€, but at least it's fixed now!
