Peugeot 407 injector fault

I'm having trouble with my 2007 Peugeot 407 diesel (264762 km). I think it's a 'reset quantity drift compensation' issue. The engine runs rough, the check engine light comes on, and there's a persistent error. Diagnostics point to a bad injection valve or injector. Before I replace the injectors, is there a software solution, like resetting the quantity drift compensation, or should I just replace the injector?

I had a similar issue with my 2012 Citroen C5 diesel. Your symptoms sound familiar. Did you try a system reset via onboard diagnostics before replacing parts? The ECU might not be reading the injector data correctly. A reset might help, even if temporarily.

Thanks, that's helpful. Can you explain the 'system reset via onboard diagnostics' procedure you used? I know basic OBD-II scanning, but I'm not sure about the 'quantity drift compensation' reset. What steps or menu options should I look for?

The onboard diagnostics didn't have a 'quantity drift compensation' reset. I couldn't do the reset myself. A workshop with specialized diagnostic equipment did a full system reset. I'd suggest a workshop experienced with Peugeots.

Thanks, I brought it to a workshop. They confirmed a faulty injector. After replacing it and doing a system reset, it's fixed. Total cost: 515€.
