Peugeot 407 Radar Fault

I've got a 2005 Peugeot 407 diesel, mileage around 65k km. Recently getting 'Radar Fault' messages in the speedometer, and the error's being stored. Seems to be causing knock-on issues, and the warning light is permanently on. My initial thought is the radar sensor is probably dirty. Anyone else had something similar?

That sounds frustrating. I had a comparable issue with my Volvo V60 a while back. Adaptive cruise went completely haywire. The error codes were all over the place, and it was definitely linked to the radar sensor. Was yours after any significant weather event?

Good shout. We had some pretty grim weather last week – heavy rain and a bit of flooding locally. I gave the sensor a quick wipe, but no joy. Where was the sensor located on your Volvo?

Mine was behind the front grille, pretty exposed. I'd advise getting it properly checked out in the workshop, as there might be more harm than good if you start disassembling. For the Volvo, they diagnosed it quickly and sorted everything out.

Cheers for the advice. I took it to a local place, turns out you were spot on. The sensor was caked. Cleaned it and the surrounding area; error's gone. Cost me 45€. Appreciate the help!
