Thanks! Yes, there's an intermittent squeal, more noticeable when the engine is first started. I'll inspect the idler pulley more closely. The belt itself hasn't slipped off completely, but it does seem misaligned. Did you also have the problem of the belt losing alignment?

Yep, sounds very familiar. The misalignment was the biggest clue for me. Honestly, with that mileage and the squealing, I'd recommend getting it checked by a workshop. Could save you from a snapped belt and bigger problems down the road. Mine ended up needing a new tensioner and belt.

Hey! I had a similar issue on my 407. Is it making a squealing noise, especially when the engine is cold? Check the idler pulley as well; sometimes that can be the culprit. Has the belt ever slipped off?
