Peugeot 407 starting issue
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Peugeot 407 with a diesel engine is experiencing a starting issue, with an error message indicating 'Terminal 15 ignition positive interrupted.' Initial checks of the battery terminals and fuse box revealed no obvious problems. A suggestion was made to inspect the relay switch, as a similar issue was resolved by addressing a corroded connection there. Following this advice, the problem was successfully fixed by cleaning the corroded connection on the relay switch, restoring the car's ability to start.

Thanks for the quick response! Where exactly is the relay switch located? Is it easy to get to?

Yes, the relay switch was indeed the cause of a similar issue with my Peugeot 407 too. However, its location can vary slightly, so I suggest consulting your car's manual or visiting a workshop. They can pinpoint it quickly and assess whether it's the source of your problem without you fiddling with sensitive parts.

Thanks so much for the advice! I took it to a local garage, and it turned out to be a corroded connection on the relay switch, just like you suggested. They cleaned it up, and it's starting perfectly now. Really appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue with my 407. Have you checked the relay switch? That was the culprit in my case. It might be worth taking a look before you spend a fortune at a workshop.
