Thank you for your prompt response. Indeed, the electronic stability program indicator illuminates intermittently. May I inquire as to the typical ramifications of a faulty steering angle sensor? Is complete sensor replacement invariably necessary, or are there instances where recalibration might suffice?

If the light is on, then, yeah, the sensor is almost definitely faulty. Recalibration can sometimes work, but it's a temporary fix at best. You're probably looking at a replacement, which means a visit to the workshop.

I appreciate your insights. Based on your recommendation and further investigation, I opted for professional intervention. The steering angle sensor was indeed identified as defective, its replacement and subsequent coding amounted to 195€. The vehicle's steering behavior has now returned to its proper state. Thank you again for your time and assistance.

Steering getting heavy and vibrating? Sounds like a sensor issue could definitely be the cause messing with the power steering assist. Is the stability control light on the dash lit up at all?
