Peugeot 407 sunroof malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Peugeot 407 experienced a sunroof malfunction where the sunblind got stuck and the convertible top wouldn't operate properly, following a coding change. The issue was identified as a 'sunroof not initialized' error. A suggested solution was to have the sunroof recalibrated by a specialist, which resolved the problem effectively.

Yeah, it shows a 'sunroof not initialized' error. How did you fix it on your BMW? Did you manage a sunroof reset or calibration yourself, or did you need special tools?

On my BMW, I tried a few DIY resets, but nothing worked. The error persisted. Ended up taking it to a workshop; they recalibrated the sunroof and that fixed it. Seems like the coding scrambled something. Cost me around 80€. Honestly, I'd suggest going to a specialist, especially since your convertible top is also affected. Don't want to make things worse, right?

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local garage, and they recalibrated the sunroof. Seems like that did the trick! Cost me 75€. Everything is working as it should again. Appreciate the help!

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar problem with my old BMW 3 Series after messing with the car's computer. Is it throwing any errors related to the sunroof mechanism? Maybe it needs a reset or calibration?
