Peugeot 407 Temperature Sensor Error
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Peugeot 407 is experiencing a temperature sensor error related to the heat exchanger, which also prevents the air conditioning from functioning. The issue is stored in the error memory and displayed on the speedometer. A similar case suggested that the problem might be due to a faulty AC control unit, which resolved the issue when replaced. The owner plans to visit a workshop to address the suspected defective AC control unit.

Thanks for the quick reply! Interesting. What exactly happened with your 407, and how did you figure out it was the AC control unit? Was it throwing the same temperature sensor error?

Yeah, same temp sensor error and AC refusing to kick in. I initially suspected a coolant leak, but eventually, the workshop pointed to the AC control unit being faulty. Bit of a weird one, but that fixed it.

Thanks for confirming! Seems like I'm heading to the workshop then. That's probably what I need to do. The mechanic suspects that the AC control unit is defective and quotes 980€ for the repair. I'll post a resolution once it's sorted.

Hey, I had a similar problem with my Peugeot 407. The symptoms sound very familiar. Did you check the HVAC system? It might be related to the AC control unit.
