Peugeot 407 Turn Signal Error
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Peugeot 407 owner reported a turn signal error, with a message indicating a lighting fault despite the bulb appearing fine. The issue was suspected to be a deeper electrical problem, possibly a short or a faulty connection. Thanks for the quick reply. I visually inspected the wiring harness, but didn't see anything obvious like frayed wires or corrosion. Is there a specific area or connector that's known to be problematic on the 407 turn signals?

It's difficult to pinpoint a specific location without proper diagnostics. Given the error message and the fact that the bulb appears fine, the issue likely lies in a deeper electrical fault. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to get it checked out professionally.

Okay, I understand. I appreciate the advice. I took it to a local garage, and as you suspected, it was indeed a defective plug connection. They replaced the connector, and everything is working fine now. The repair cost me 95€. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

Sounds like a possible cable or plug connection issue with the turn signal assembly. Have you checked the wiring harness for any visible damage or corrosion?
