Peugeot 408 cold start issue

I'm having trouble with my 2021 Peugeot 408 diesel. At 157174 km, the engine runs poorly during cold starts. There's an error code stored, and fuel consumption seems high. I think it might be the electric auxiliary heater (PTC heater). Anyone else seen this?

Hey! Sounds like what happened with my 408. I was getting cold air when I needed heat. Was your heating system acting up too, or just the engine?

Is that a complete absence of heat from the ventilation, or just a delay in getting to the right temperature? And do you remember the error code?

Definitely a delay, like it was struggling to get warm. Eventually it heated up, but it took ages. I didn't check the error code, just took it to the shop. It was the PTC heater, like you thought. Best to get yours checked.

Thanks, that confirms my suspicion. I'll get the PTC heater checked and replaced. Repair cost should be around 350€. Thanks again.
