Peugeot 408 Error Messages and Generic Code

I've got a 2023 Peugeot 408 hybrid with about 133k km on the clock. Recently, I've been getting error messages popping up – both in the infotainment system and on the speedometer. Diagnostic scanner shows a fault code, but nothing specific. I suspect the coding might be off, anyone else seen this?

Hey, I've got a 408 as well and had something similar happen a while back. Did the engine light come on, or just the messages? Also, did you check if the OBD-II scanner gave any specific error codes?

Thanks for the quick reply. No engine light, just the error messages. The OBD-II scanner did give a code, but it was pretty generic, something about a system malfunction. Didn't really point to anything specific. Did your issue also trigger the generic code?

Yep, exactly the same. Generic code and those annoying messages. Honestly, I messed around with it for a week before giving up and taking it to the workshop. They sorted it out pretty quickly; probably best to get it checked professionally.

Alright, cheers for the info. Sounds like I'm heading to the workshop then. They sorted it out, coding was indeed the issue. Cost me 360€, but at least the errors are gone.
