Peugeot 408 Gearbox Issues

I have a 2022 Peugeot 408 hybrid with 43896 km. The gear shift indicator display is faulty. It's not possible to engage the gears, and the gearbox slips. I also hear grinding noises sometimes. The speedometer shows no gear selection. Is this a common issue?

Sounds familiar. I've got a 408 too and had similar problems. Does it also throw an error code? The shifting felt totally off, right?

Yes, there's an error stored. What exactly was wrong with yours?

I suspect it's the control unit. I'd suggest getting it checked out at a workshop. They'll probably tell you the same.

Thanks. I'll take it to the shop. They confirmed it's the control unit and quoted around 1000€ for the repair.
