Peugeot 408 Tire Pressure ABS and Steering Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Peugeot 408 owner reports issues with a low tire pressure warning, ABS light activation, and steering difficulties. The problem may stem from a punctured tire or a defective valve causing a slow air leak, which can trigger these warnings and affect steering. A suggested solution is to inspect the tires for leaks, particularly around the valve stem, using soapy water to identify any bubbles. Visiting a workshop for a thorough diagnosis and repair is recommended to resolve the issue.

Thanks for the quick reply! Was your experience also accompanied by the ABS light and steering issues? And how did you pinpoint the valve issue?

Yes, the ABS light and heavier steering were present. I suspected a slow leak, so I checked each tire using soapy water, and identified bubbles forming around the valve stem. I'd advise a workshop visit to properly diagnose and address any potential sensor malfunctions.

Thanks for confirming, I'll take it to a workshop then. It turned out to be the valve, exactly as you said. Cost me 280€. Much appreciated

I have a 408 and experienced something similar. In my case, it was a defective valve causing a slow air leak. This triggered the tire pressure warning and subsequently affected other systems due to pressure imbalances.
