Peugeot 5008 AC failure
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Peugeot 5008 experienced an AC failure, with the system not activating and a warning light on the speedometer. The initial suspicion was a faulty AC control unit. After checking for refrigerant leaks and finding none, the issue was diagnosed at a workshop as related to the control unit. Replacing the control unit resolved the problem, restoring the AC's functionality.

Yeah, I checked for leaks, didn't find anything obvious. Pressures seem okay too. You mentioned a similar issue – was it actually the control unit in your case, or something else?

Turns out, for me, it wasn't the control unit directly, but a sensor feeding into it. The workshop figured it out pretty quick. Honestly, I'd get it properly diagnosed; could save you throwing parts at it.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on - it was related to the control unit. They replaced it, and it cost me around 980€. Now the AC is working like a charm again!

Sounds rough. I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra a while back. AC died, warning lights, the whole shebang. Did you check for any refrigerant leaks? That was my initial thought.
