Peugeot 5008 bumper antenna fault
Summary of the thread
The issue with the 2014 Peugeot 5008 involves a malfunctioning bumper antenna, leading to the remote unlock feature not working and requiring the key in the ignition to start the car. The suspected causes include a bad cable or plug, possibly due to corrosion or physical damage to the antenna mount. The suggested solution is to have the bumper and antenna checked by a professional, as the problem may require replacing faulty components.

Can you tell me where and how you checked the antenna mount for corrosion or damage? Did you have to remove the bumper?

I didn't do any repair myself. I'm not an expert, so I just checked the bumper visually for any damage, and then took it to the workshop. They told me that the bumper antenna and its connector were faulty and had to replace it. So yes, I think they removed the bumper.

Looks like a workshop visit is needed. The repair cost 95€, and the issue was a defective cable connection. Thanks for the help.

Interesting problem. I had very similar symptoms in my 5008, although I didn't check the error memory. Remote key stopped working, and I had to use the key in the ignition. Did you check the antenna mount? Is it corroded? Is there any physical damage?
