Peugeot 5008 Central Locking Failure

I'm facing an issue with my 2009 Peugeot 5008, gasoline engine. The central locking has stopped working. Doors can't be locked or unlocked via the remote or interior switch. I scanned the system and there's an error stored. Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be a fuse or a deeper issue with the security system?

That's tricky. I had a similar problem once, though on a different vehicle. Have you checked all the fuses? Sometimes it's the simplest things. Is your car alarm working?

Yes, I checked the fuses, they seem fine. The car alarm is working, which makes me doubt the fuse theory. Given the error code points to a potential cable or plug connection issue, could the keyless entry module be the problem?

Okay, since the fuses are good and the alarm works, it sounds like more than a fuse. A defective cable or plug connection is possible. That could affect the central locking while leaving other systems functional. At this point, it might be worth getting a professional to diagnose it. Could save you time and potential headaches.

Thanks for the insight. I appreciate the suggestion to consult a professional. It turned out to be a defective connector as suspected. The repair cost 95€. Hopefully, this helps others facing similar issues.
