Peugeot 5008 DPF Pressure Issue

My 2020 Peugeot 5008 diesel is showing a warning light and feels gutless. The engine's got about 256k km on it. I'm getting a 'diesel particulate filter exhaust pressure too low' error. Plus, there's smoke when I accelerate and a nasty exhaust smell. Any ideas? It's driving me nuts!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my 5008 diesel a while back. Low DPF exhaust pressure, eh? Were you getting reduced engine power and a light on the dash too? Any smell?

Yeah, reduced power and the light are definitely there, plus a bit of smoke when I put my foot down, and a pretty strong exhaust smell. Was it the same for you? What was the fix?

Yup, symptoms are spot on with what I experienced. Probably your exhaust back pressure sensor is defective. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to get it checked out.

Thanks for the tip! I took it to the shop, and you were right - exhaust back pressure sensor was faulty. Cost me 245€ to get it sorted. Appreciate the help!
