Undervoltage, huh? Interesting. I hadn't considered that specifically. How would low voltage cause a memory lock? And what exactly did you do to troubleshoot it when it happened to you?

The ECU monitors voltage levels, and if it detects consistent undervoltage, it can lock the error memory to prevent further corrupted data from being stored. In my case, after checking the battery and alternator, I found no problem, so I brought the car to the shop where they fixed it. I suggest you have it checked by a professional, it could indeed be expensive.

Thanks a ton for the insight! Really appreciate the tip about the undervoltage. I took it to a workshop, and it turns out you were spot on! The garage confirmed undervoltage. They reset the system and found a faulty ground connection. Repair cost me 240€, but at least the gremlin is gone!

I had a similar issue with my 5008. The error memory lock suggests a deeper problem that the ECU has flagged. Have you checked the vehicle's voltage recently? Undervoltage can trigger this kind of lock to protect the system from damage.
