Good analogy! Christmas lights... I get it. Where exactly would I find the fuse for the seat? And is it something I can easily check myself?

Okay, so tracing the fuse for the seat can be a pain depending on the car. I never found the right one in my Volvo. To be honest, I eventually took it to a workshop. They diagnosed it as a faulty connector and the bill was around 100€.

Thanks! I was hoping for a quick fix, but it looks like a trip to the shop is inevitable. At least I have a possible cause. They quoted me 95€ so that will be the final bill. Thanks for the help!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar headache with my old Volvo V70. The lumbar support switch went haywire. These things are often just bad connections. Like a dodgy Christmas tree light, one bulb gone and the whole string is dead. Have you checked the fuse box to see if anything is blown?
