Peugeot 5008 won't start - reasons other than the battery?

I own a 2011 Peugeot 5008 with 252,000 km and a diesel engine. I have a problem that the car suddenly won't start. Could there be a reason other than a dead battery? No warning lights came on beforehand. Does anyone have a similar experience or advice on what might be the cause?

Check the fuel system first. Ensure there's enough fuel in the tank and that the fuel pump is working properly. Listen for a humming noise from the fuel pump when you turn the ignition on. If you don't hear it, the pump might be faulty. Let me know how it goes or if you have any other questions!
