Peugeot 5008 oil pressure warning light

I've got a 2020 Peugeot 5008 diesel with about 185k kilometers on the clock. Recently, the oil pressure warning lamp keeps lighting up, along with a warning light on the speedometer. I scanned it and it's throwing an error related to the engine oil temperature sensor. I'm guessing it's probably a faulty sensor or wiring. Has anyone experienced similar issues?

I had a similar issue with my 5008. Check the cable and plug connection to the sensor first. This is often the culprit. Is the error intermittent or constant?

Thanks for the tip! I'll check the wiring. The error is intermittent, appearing mostly after the engine has been running for a while. Could heat be affecting the connection?

Heat could certainly be a factor given the intermittent nature. However, with those symptoms, it's best to have the sensor checked professionally. A defective connection can cause consequential damage. I recommend that you visit a workshop for car diagnostics.

Thanks for the advice. I checked the wiring, but it all looked fine. I took it to the workshop, and they confirmed it was the oil temperature sensor cable. Repair cost was around 95€. All sorted now!
