I inspected all connections and wiring harnesses but found nothing. Any diagnostic procedure you'd recommend before replacing the caliper assembly? Odometer reads 134401 km.

Okay, with that mileage and you checking the connections, it's leaning towards the motor. Further DIY diagnosis without specialized equipment could be tricky. Given the importance of the parking brake I'd suggest getting it checked by a workshop. A proper scan tool can pinpoint it.

Took it to a workshop, and they confirmed a defective electric motor in the brake calliper, which was replaced. Repair cost 505€. Thanks for the help.

I've seen that happen. The electric parking brake can be a pain. Before you condemn the motor, have you checked the brake switch and sensor connections? Sometimes it's just a faulty connection. What's the mileage?
