Peugeot 5008 Power Window Failure
Summary of the thread
The power windows on a 2011 Peugeot 5008 suddenly stopped working, despite the fuses being intact, and an error was stored. The issue was suspected to be related to the power window switch, as all windows failed simultaneously, indicating a central point of failure. After professional diagnosis, it was confirmed that the power window switch was indeed defective, and replacing it resolved the problem.

Yes, the windows stopped working simultaneously. That's why I suspect a central issue like the switch. What exactly was the problem with your Opel's window regulator? Was it the window motor itself, or something else? Did you also have an error message?

Yeah, it was really annoying. The workshop told me the motor had given up completely, and they found debris in the window track. It was throwing an error code as well, something about the window control module not getting a signal. If all your windows are out at once, it does sound like a common point of failure. Maybe best to get it diagnosed professionally?

I took your advice and went to the workshop. Turns out you were right – the power window switch was defective! Cost me around 200€, but at least it's fixed now.

Sounds frustrating! Did the windows fail at the same time? I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra, and it turned out to be a defective window regulator. It's strange that it throws an error though. Have you checked the window track for obstructions?
