Peugeot 5008 Stalling and Check Engine Light

My 2018 Peugeot 5008 diesel is giving me fits. The check engine light is on, and it's stalling at idle sometimes. It's got 102669 km on the clock. Could this be related to a fuel tank ventilation system leak? I read somewhere it might be a defective activated charcoal filter, but I'm no mechanic.

Check engine light and stalling? It could be many things. Have you noticed any changes in your fuel efficiency?

Yeah, fuel efficiency seems a bit off, come to think of it. What could that mean for the EVAP system, and is it a big deal to fix?

Reduced fuel efficiency combined with the check engine light and stalling points towards a potential issue with your fuel tank ventilation and the EVAP system. I recommend a visit to a workshop; it is indeed often caused by a defective charcoal filter.

Thanks! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on. It was a defective activated charcoal filter, causing the fuel tank ventilation problem. Cost me 275€ to fix, but at least it's running smoothly now!
