Peugeot 5008 start stop failure

Hey, I have a 2009 Peugeot 5008 diesel with 274470 km on the clock. The start-stop system has packed it in. The engine cuts out sometimes, and I get a warning light. Error memory has something stored, but I don't have the tool to read it. I'm guessing it's electrical?

I had a similar issue with my 5008. Is the battery old or heavily discharged? The start-stop is very sensitive to voltage. Have you checked the battery's health?

Yeah, the battery is probably getting on a bit. I haven't load tested it or anything like that. What happened with yours exactly? Was it just a battery issue?

It was the battery in my case. Start-stop systems are the first to complain when the battery is weak. If you're getting engine shut-offs, I'd definitely get it checked professionally. Could save you from being stranded.
