Peugeot 5008 transmission issues
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Peugeot 5008 diesel is experiencing transmission issues, including unresponsive paddle shifters, unclean gear shifts, grinding noises, and emergency mode activation. The suspected cause is a defective transmission control unit. A professional diagnosis and repair are recommended, as a reset is unlikely to resolve the issue, with repair costs potentially around 1000€.

Thanks for your reply. I don't have the equipment to perform a transmission diagnosis. I suspect the control unit is defective. Do you think a car computer reset could resolve this? Or should I consider an automotive ECU replacement?

Based on my experience, a reset is unlikely to solve it. It's probably the control unit itself. I ended up going to the workshop, the affected control unit was indeed defective and the repair cost me around 1000€. I'd suggest you take it to a professional.

Hello there. I also own a Peugeot 5008, and your description sounds awfully familiar. It could be a defective transmission control unit. Does your diagnostic tool point to anything specific? Was it a sudden occurrence, or did you notice the issues gradually worsen over time?
