Peugeot 5008 Transmission Oil Pressure Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Peugeot 5008 with a gasoline engine exhibited a transmission oil pressure sensor fault, causing the engine warning light to activate and the gearbox to enter emergency mode, slip, shift uncleanly, and make grinding noises. The core problem was identified as a low transmission oil level. The suggested solution was to check and top up the transmission fluid, which, along with replacing the faulty sensor, resolved the issue.

I haven't checked the fluid level yet, but resetting the error only helps for a short while. The light comes back on pretty quickly. Was it definitely the oil level in your case?

Well, it was a very similar problem. Considering your symptoms, it might be safer to get it checked by a workshop. It could be other things, but low oil is a common one. Why risk making it worse?

Thanks for the insight! I had the oil level checked, and indeed it was too low. After topping it up and replacing the sensor, the issue is now resolved. The bill came to 365€.

Interesting. I have a 5008 too, and had similar symptoms a while back. Did you check the transmission fluid level? What happens if you reset the error?
