Peugeot 508 AC Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Peugeot 508 hybrid is experiencing an issue where the air conditioning system is not blowing cold air and doesn't seem to switch on. The owner suspects faulty valves after checking fuses and climate control settings. Another individual with a similar issue suggests checking the compressor, pressure switch, and blower motor, but ultimately recommends taking it to a workshop for a proper diagnosis. The problem was confirmed to be defective valves in the AC system, and the repair cost was around 1000€, resulting in the restoration of cold air.

How did you determine the root cause? Was it a straightforward diagnosis? Any specific valves that were the culprits? Trying to avoid unnecessary costs. The service center is already estimating it to be around 1000€.

In my case, it was a faulty valve deep inside. It was tricky to diagnose, and I ended up taking it to a workshop. I suggest you do the same.

I feared that might be the case. Workshop it is. Cost me 1000€ as expected. They told me the individual valves were defective in the air conditioning system. At least now I have ice-cold air again.

I had a similar AC issue with my 508. Is the compressor kicking in at all? Worth checking the pressure switch and the blower motor too. Could be a simple fix, or something more sinister.
