Thanks for the tip! Where exactly should I be looking for these connections? Are they easily visible, or do I need to remove some panels?

They're usually under the seats, but sometimes the connector can be hidden under the carpet near the seat rails. If you aren't confident, due to car safety considerations I would recommend a workshop checking the cable or plug connection of the component. Probably the problem is a defective component there.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to a trusted local mechanic, and you were spot on! It was a loose connection in the airbag system that he fixed for 95€. I was worried it would be an expensive airbag replacement. Glad it was a relatively easy airbag repair.

The issue was related to a loose connection in the airbag system, not a specific airbag repair. It's common for these connections to be under the seats, so it might be worth checking there if you're experiencing a similar problem. If you have any further questions or need more guidance, feel free to ask!

If you're experiencing a similar issue, start by checking the connections under the seats for any loose or disconnected plugs. If you're unsure or uncomfortable doing this, it's best to have a professional mechanic inspect it, as airbag systems are crucial for safety. Let me know if you need further assistance!

I had something similar happen on my old car. It turned out to be a loose connection under the driver's seat. Have you tried checking the cables and plugs related to the airbag system, especially those under the seats? Sometimes moving the seats around can disturb them.
