Cheers for the quick reply! I haven't checked with a multimeter, but I did a basic visual inspection – terminals seem clean, no obvious corrosion. When you say 'dodgy battery sensor', was it throwing any specific error codes, or was it just a general feeling?

No specific codes that I remember, just the same symptoms you described. Turned out the sensor was giving the ECU the wrong voltage readings, messing with the charging system. If it is the sensor, better get it sorted ASAP, it could properly damage the battery. I'd advise you to take it to a workshop.

Thanks a lot for confirming! I had a hunch it was the sensor. Just got it replaced at the workshop, and everything seems back to normal. Cost me around 315€, but worth it for peace of mind. Appreciate the help!

I had similar issues with my 508. Those symptoms sound a lot like a dodgy battery sensor. Have you checked the battery health with a multimeter, just to rule out a flat battery?
