Good call on the wiring, I'll double check. I haven't pinned down the exact location of the AUC sensor yet, but I’ll dig around the cabin air filter area. So, was your BMW throwing the exact same AUC sensor fault? And was it just a loose connection in the end?

Nah, it wasn't exactly the same fault code from memory, but the symptoms were identical. Blower motor just refused to work. I tinkered for ages but never managed to fix it myself. In my case the dealer found some corrosion and a broken pin on the sensor connector. Honestly, if you're not 100% confident with electrics, I'd suggest getting it checked out by a pro. Could save you a lot of time and headache.

Thanks for the insights! I spent a few hours on it. Ended up taking it to the workshop. You were right, a broken wire at the connector. 95€ later and the climate control is working as expected. Crazy how such a small thing can cause such a big problem.

Oh, that sounds frustrating! I had a similar experience with my old BMW 3 Series – kept getting weird climate control issues, and it ended up being a faulty HVAC sensor. Blower motor wouldn't kick in, just dead silence. Did you check the actual wiring and connector to the AUC sensor itself? Might be worth a look before you tear anything else apart. Where is that sensor located on your Peugeot? I think I had the same issue on my Beemer, but don't remember it exactly.
