Interesting! Where exactly is that hose located? Is it easy to get to, or will I have to take half the engine apart to find it?

Yeah, it's a pain to get to, if I remember correctly. It is best to take it to the workshop, as the air supply is sensitive and you can quickly make it worse. It was exactly that hose and it cost me around 175€ back then.

Thanks for the tip! I'll check that hose, but it sounds like a job for a mechanic. I suspected it was something like that because the symptoms were very similar. I brought it to the workshop and indeed, the hose connection was defective. They replaced it for 175€.

I had something like that on my 508! Was the hose connection from the pump to the valve defective? I remember that causing idle problems and the check engine light was constantly on.
