I'm having trouble with my 2023 Peugeot 508 diesel. At 190526 km, I think the clutch pedal switch is bad. The error memory has stored an error, the gear selection display in the speedometer isn't working, cruise control is disabled, and the engine sometimes won't start. I'm wondering if it's a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone else seen this?

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my old Audi A4 – the cruise control cutting out and starting problems were the giveaways. Check the switch itself and the wiring leading to it; corrosion can be a real pain.

Yes, the gear selection was also erratic on the dash. It all pointed back to the clutch switch. Ultimately, it's probably best to get it checked at a workshop. It's a safety issue if it's causing starting problems.
