Peugeot 508 DPF Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Peugeot 508 diesel is experiencing sluggish performance, reduced engine power, and smoke during acceleration, with the DPF light illuminated. These symptoms suggest a potential issue with the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), possibly due to backpressure or a faulty sensor. A forced regeneration attempt failed, leading to the replacement of the DPF and sensors to resolve the problem.

Backpressure? I haven't dug that deep yet. Where's the best place to check that, and which sensor are you thinking of specifically? It's a 2021 model.

Definitely get the backpressure checked during a vehicle inspection, but with those symptoms and the engine light, it's pointing towards the DPF. I ended up replacing mine. Cost a bomb. Workshop definitely pointed at it

Just got the news from the garage after a forced regeneration failed. New DPF and sensors needed to get it running smoothly again. 1550€ later. Thanks for the input, appreciate it!

I've got a 508 diesel and had similar symptoms. Have you checked the backpressure? Could also be a sensor fault throwing the system off.
