Peugeot 508 Lighting Fault

My 2020 Peugeot 508 diesel has a lighting fault with seemingly random activation and a stored error. Diagnostics suggest a defective cable or plug connection to the light switch. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Interesting. I have a Peugeot 508 as well, and I recall encountering comparable electrical gremlins some time back. In my case, the symptoms weren't exactly identical, but it definitely revolved around the light switch acting up. Could you elaborate on any other electrical anomalies you might have noticed? Even seemingly unrelated issues could offer valuable clues.

Are you suggesting that your 508 exhibited similar erratic lighting behavior stemming from a potentially faulty light switch? I am curious if you remember any further steps taken to resolve the issue, and if it indeed required a full switch replacement.

Yes, indeed. My 508 displayed quite similar symptoms, though not constantly. Given your diagnostic findings pointing towards a cable or plug issue, it might be prudent to thoroughly inspect the connections before considering a full switch replacement. I would strongly advise consulting with a qualified workshop. I ended up paying 95€ for the repair.

I appreciate your input and shared experience. It appears a visit to the workshop is the most sensible course of action. Thank you again for confirming my suspicion and potentially saving me from unnecessary component replacements. The final bill was 95€, as you predicted.
