Peugeot 508 low heating output
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Peugeot 508 hybrid is experiencing low heating output, with a suspected defective water valve or bad connection. A similar issue was resolved by checking the valve's cable and plug connection, which can suffer from corrosion or looseness. It is advised to have a workshop diagnose and repair the issue to avoid further damage, as faulty connections are a common cause.

Thanks! Where exactly is the water valve located? And how can I check the cable and plug connection without causing more damage?

It's usually near the engine block, connected to the coolant hoses. If you're not comfortable, it might be best to take it to a workshop. They can diagnose it properly and avoid issues. In my case, it was a faulty connection as well.

Thanks. I'll take it to a workshop. They said the component's cable or plug connection was defective, and the repair will cost 95€. Your experience helped me narrow it down!

Hey, I had something similar with my 508. Weak heating. Did you check the valve's cable and plug connection? That's a common cause. Sometimes corrosion or a loose connection can mess things up.
