Lambda sensor, eh? That's near the catalytic converter, right? How did you diagnose that? I'm not seeing any obvious damage, but I'm no mechanic. Did you try cleaning the EGR valve first, or did you just go straight for the sensor?

Yes, lambda sensor is near the cat. I didn't diagnose it myself, honestly. It got so bad with the exhaust leak that I took it straight to the shop. They ran diagnostics and said it was defective. Replacing it fixed everything. Cost me around 375€ for parts and labor. Probably best to get yours checked out, especially with all those symptoms. Save yourself the headache.

Thanks! I appreciate the insight. I'll get it to a workshop ASAP. At least I have an idea of what they will find. Let's hope is just the lambda sensor. Fingers crossed it doesn't turn out to be the whole exhaust system!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar experience with my 508. Engine light, rough idle... the whole shebang. Was it also giving you a strong exhaust smell? Have you checked the lambda sensor? Could be that's gone bad. I'm asking because it gave me similar symptoms.
