Peugeot 508 Tire Pressure Warning ABS Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Peugeot 508 diesel owner experienced persistent tire pressure warnings, intermittent ABS light activation, and steering issues. The problem was traced to a defective valve causing a slow air leak, which affected the tire pressure monitoring system. This malfunction indirectly led to ABS and power steering symptoms. The solution involved replacing the faulty valve and tire pressure sensor, resolving all issues.

Thanks for the quick response! I hadn't specifically checked the valves, just the tire pressures with a gauge. The pressures were all within the recommended range, maybe 0.1-0.2 bar difference between them. Could a tiny leak in the valve really trigger the ABS and power steering issues as well? I'm trying to understand the connection.

Yes, a small leak in the valve can definitely trigger the tire pressure warning. As for the ABS and power steering, it's less directly related to the pressure loss itself, but more a symptom of the tire monitoring system malfunctioning due to the persistent pressure loss. In my case, the dealer located the faulty valve quickly. I'd suggest a workshop visit; they have the tools to properly diagnose it.

Thanks a lot for your help. I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on – it was a defective valve causing a slow leak. They replaced it, along with the tire pressure sensor on that wheel just to be safe. Total cost was 280€. All the warnings are gone, and the steering feels normal again!

I had a similar problem with my 508. The low tire pressure warning was constantly on, and it turned out to be a faulty valve in one of the tires causing a slow air leak. The system is very sensitive. Did you check the valves themselves? Sometimes they can be hard to spot. Are all the tire pressures actually identical or only similar?
