Peugeot 508 Windshield Washer Heater Failure
Summary of the thread
The core problem was a windshield washer heater error in a Peugeot 508, causing the spray nozzles to freeze. The initial suspicion was a cable or plug issue, as fuses were intact and wipers were functioning. After considering other potential causes like the pump, it was confirmed at a workshop that the issue was indeed a defective wiring harness for the washer heater, which was then repaired.

Pump functionality... good point. I assumed the error code meant the heater was the issue. How can I be sure it is the heater?

Hard to know without diagnostics. Professional tools would give a definitive answer since there's a stored error. Given the connection suspicion and reasonable part costs, get it checked at a workshop if unsure. Could save time and money.

Took it to the workshop. Defective wiring harness for the washer heater, as suspected. Fixed for 95€ Thanks!

I have a 508, different year. This winter, washer fluid wouldn't spray below freezing, but no error messages. Have you checked the pump, not just the fuse and wiring?
