Summary of the thread
The windshield wipers on a 2021 Peugeot 508 hybrid stopped working, and an error was stored, suggesting a potential issue with a cable or plug connection. Thanks for the suggestions! I checked the fuses, and they seem fine. Where exactly is the wiper motor located, and what should I look for? What does the cruise control have to do with the wipers?

On my Insignia, the wiper motor was tucked away under the hood, near the base of the windshield on the driver's side. Look for any obvious signs of damage or corrosion. Regarding the cruise control, on some cars, the wiper stalk also controls cruise control functions, so if the stalk is faulty, it might affect both. Best bet is to take it to a workshop. I ended up doing that and they found a loose connection.

Okay, thanks for the advice! I took it to the shop, and it turned out to be a defective plug connection, just like we suspected. The repair cost was 95€. At least it wasn't more expensive!

That's a pain! I had a similar wiper issue with my 2018 Opel Insignia. The wipers just quit, and the error code pointed to a connection problem. Have you checked the fuses? Sometimes it's just a blown fuse. Also, give the wiper motor a look-see, maybe it's jammed somehow. Cruise control is still working, right?
