Good shout! How would I know if the battery is on its way out? Any specific tests I can do, or just a voltage check?

A voltage check is a good start, but a proper load test is better to see if it holds charge. Honestly, based on your symptoms and error codes, I reckon it's likely the culprit. For me it ended up with a bill of 290€ at the workshop, so I’d suggest you take it there.

Thanks for the tip! Took it to a local place, and you nailed it – battery was toast. New battery and all's good, seat's working perfectly again! Appreciate the help.

I had a similar problem with my Peugeot 607 - power seats are a pain! I'd check the battery first. Heavily discharged or defective batteries can cause all sorts of weird electrical gremlins. Any signs of that?
