Peugeot 607 Engine Stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2003 Peugeot 607 with a gasoline engine is experiencing engine stalling at idle and has the check engine light on. The issue was suspected to be related to the tank ventilation valve. After consulting with others who had similar experiences, it was suggested that a clogged hose might be the cause. Upon taking the car to a workshop, it was confirmed that the problem was indeed a clogged hose in the tank ventilation valve, which was then replaced.

Thanks for the quick response! I haven't checked the specific codes yet, but a clogged hose makes sense. Where should I start looking?

It was indeed a clogged hose that time. Honestly, given the symptoms and your suspicion about the tank ventilation, I'd suggest having a workshop take a look. They'll be able to diagnose it properly and save you some guesswork.

Just to let you know, you were spot on! Took it to the workshop, and it was indeed the tank ventilation valve, specifically a clogged hose. They replaced it, and the total cost was 175€. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

I had something similar happen with my 607. Is it throwing any specific codes related to the EVAP system or a pressure sensor? Could be a clogged hose.
