Peugeot 607 engine stalling issue
Summary of the thread
A 2001 Peugeot 607 was experiencing engine stalling at idle and a persistent check engine light, with error codes indicating a fuel level sensor fault. Initial checks for a dedicated fuse and connector issues did not resolve the problem. The solution was to replace the faulty fuel level sensor, which resolved the stalling issue and cleared the error codes.

The car has 42392 km on it. I did check the connector, it looked clean but I didn't do any proper tests. I can try probing the connector with a multimeter, do you know what values I should expect?

Honestly, I didn't go that deep myself. I just took it to my local workshop and they sorted it out pretty quickly. Saved me a lot of hassle with testing. I can't recommend doing that enough.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local shop as you suggested. Turns out it was a faulty fuel level sensor. They replaced it and cleared the error codes. Total cost was 52€. Runs great now!

I had a similar issue with my 607. What's the mileage at? Have you checked the sensor connector for corrosion or loose wiring? Sometimes a bad connection can trigger those symptoms.
