Peugeot 607 handsfree microphone issue

Afternoon, I've got a 2008 Peugeot 607 (gasoline engine) with just under 50,000 km. My hands-free microphone isn't working. Telephony is dead, and the error memory shows a fault. I think it's the infotainment system. Anyone else experienced this? Before I spend 815€ on a repair, is there anything I might be missing? I've tried the volume, Bluetooth, but no luck. Speech recognition is also unresponsive.

I have the same model, and experienced a similar problem. Does ambient noise affect the microphone?

Yes, the issue was constant. The ambient noise was not a factor. Unfortunately, it sounds like you have the same issue as I did. I had to take it to a workshop. It's likely the infotainment system as you suspect.
