Thanks. I haven't replaced the battery yet, I was worried something else was going on. If the car battery was low, wouldn't I see other issues? What kind of battery does the key fob use?

A key fob battery operates independently from the car battery. The key fob usually takes a CR2032 coin cell. Check your owner's manual to confirm the type for your 607. Given the car's age and the symptoms, replace the key fob battery. If the problem continues, take it to a workshop for diagnostics.

I appreciate the advice. Replacing the key fob battery fixed it. The repair cost 37€.

The symptoms suggest a failing key fob battery. Have you replaced it yet? If not, try that first, as it's inexpensive and often fixes these issues. Are you experiencing other electrical problems, like difficulty starting or dimming lights?
