Peugeot 806 Air Suspension Failure

Hi, I've got a problem with my 2001 Peugeot 806, diesel engine, with 219463 km on the clock. The air suspension seems to have completely failed. The vehicle won't lift, leans to one side, and I've got error messages popping up. The low beams are pointing off too, and a warning light is on. I ran a diagnostic and it's pointing to a fault with the air suspension compressor. Could it just be the cable or plug?

Summary of the thread

The conversation centers on a 2001 Peugeot 806 experiencing air suspension failure, with symptoms including the vehicle not lifting, leaning to one side, and error messages. The diagnostic pointed to a fault with the air suspension compressor, raising the possibility of a defective cable or plug. A similar past experience suggested that a corroded connector could be the cause, and a thorough inspection by a qualified technician was recommended. Ultimately, the issue was resolved by addressing a corroded connector on the compressor.

Greetings. I recall encountering a comparable predicament with my Peugeot 806. Have you observed any unusual sounds coming from the compressor before these symptoms? Has the vehicle's ride height been consistently lower than usual, or has this occurred abruptly?

Thanks for the reply. No unusual sounds before it packed in, and the height just dropped suddenly. You had the exact same symptoms?

Affirmative, the symptoms you described mirror my experience precisely. Given the sudden failure and the error codes, a defective cable or plug connection at the compressor is indeed probable, as you surmised. However, a comprehensive inspection by a qualified technician is highly recommended to ascertain the root cause and prevent potential secondary issues. I advise you to seek assistance from a reputable automotive workshop. They should be able to identify damaged wiring or other faulty components.

Thanks for the advice. It turned out to be a corroded connector on the compressor like we suspected. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. All working fine now.
