Peugeot 806 brake pedal feedback
Summary of the thread
A 2001 Peugeot 806 owner experienced strange brake pedal feedback and suspected it might be due to undervoltage affecting the ABS. Another owner shared a similar experience, suggesting the issue could be related to the hydraulic brakes or a combination of factors, including undervoltage. The solution involved checking the brake pads, rotors, and ABS, with a recommendation to consult a mechanic for safety. The problem was resolved by replacing worn brake pads and fixing a minor electrical fault.

It's pretty consistent, warm or cold. I haven't checked the hydraulic brake system yet. What did you find with your 806? Was it voltage-related, and did it affect all the brakes?

In my case, it was a combination of things, with the undervoltage making the squeaky brakes worse. The pedal feel was definitely wonky. Unless you're comfortable messing with brake pads, rotors and the ABS, get it to a trusted mechanic. Safety first.

Safety first, you're right. Took it to my local workshop. You were spot on! Worn brake pads and a minor electrical fault. Cost me about 240€ to sort it. Thanks a million!

I had a similar issue with my 806. Does the pedal feedback happen more when the engine is cold, or consistently? Have you checked the hydraulic brakes?
