Peugeot 806 Fog Sensor Issues

Hi, I have a 2002 Peugeot 806 with a gasoline engine. The fog sensor seems to be faulty and I get an error. Also, the AC won't switch on, the spray nozzles are frozen when it's cold, and the mirror heating doesn't work. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Anyone else had this?

I had similar issues with my 806. The fog sensor can cause a cascade of problems because it's tied into the climate control system. The frozen nozzles and mirror heating are all related. Have you checked the wiring harness near the sensor? A loose connection there is a common problem. You'll find the sensor near the base of the windshield, inside the car.

Thanks for the hint. Where exactly is the wiring harness located? I want to check it before I do anything else.

It's usually tucked up behind the dashboard, close to where the sensor itself is mounted on the windshield. It can be a pain to get to. If you're not comfortable with auto electrics, I would suggest that you visit a workshop.

OK, I'll check it out. Thanks. I had a mechanic look at it and they found a defective cable or plug connection. The repair cost 95€.
